Speaker 1:

Welcome back. We are on episode 12. If you listened to all the episodes up until this point, really be proud of yourself. There's a commitment to doing this kind of work and when we do the commitment and we persist and we're disciplined, it yields results. It yields results and so if you've made it through all 11 and you're now you're on episode 12, it again says so much about you, and just take a moment for yourself and give yourself some credit for doing that and, more importantly, also think about the things that you've learned along the way and what specifically are you doing to apply this information Now? I have to assume, since there are so many examples that are given, that you're listening to the examples and you're finding examples that resonate with you and you're putting those into action. So just want to give a little shout out to you, the listener, for making it this far and for continuing to be disciplined and focused and willing to do what you need to do to take care of yourself, to get stronger, to get better, to be a better person, to be a better husband or wife, to be a better brother or sister. Doing this work does all of that, so congrats. And now let's jump back in.

Speaker 1:

Last time we went through the summary of chapter two and now we're back and we're starting with chapter three, and chapter three is called the miracle working power of your subconscious mind. So let's jump in to the book. Here we go. The power of your subconscious is enormous. It inspires you, it guides you and it reveals to you names, facts and scenes from the storehouse of your memory. Let's pause Our subconscious mind. Think about it like this it's the largest hard drive and on that hard drive is stored every single thing that has happened in your entire life. So every memory that you recall maybe a kid on the baseball field and you made a hit and you were all excited and you ran the bases with the big smile on your face. That's a memory that you pull. You're pulling that from a folder in your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind literally has stored in it every single event that has ever occurred. Now, some things we forget. And let me ask you have you ever had this experience? You'll see something in a movie or someone will say something to you and it triggers a memory from when you're younger. Suddenly, something gets tapped in your subconscious mind and then suddenly, there it is, this memory that you haven't thought about in years pops to the surface. That's because that thing that was said triggered your subconscious mind and memory.

Speaker 1:

So the subconscious mind stores everything. It's good for all the positive memories that we have, all the great things that have occurred in our lifetime. We have all the great things that have occurred in our lifetime but at the same time, all those other things, those negative moments that may have occurred a car accident you've been in, someone rejecting you on the first time you asked someone out on a date, a divorce that you've been through, anything in life that has occurred that hasn't been so good is stored in there. Anything in life that has occurred that hasn't been so good is stored in there. And all the things that you've listened to from other people people saying you're not good enough or you stink at this, or you're stupid or you're an idiot those were all recorded and filed in your subconscious mind. So what we want to do is we want to be aware of this. We want to be aware of we have all these memories. They're all stored inside of us. If we're put into the right environment, that can trigger one of these memories that we have in the subconscious and we will experience the emotions, the thoughts around it, similar to when it actually occurred. Awareness is key, and knowing that everything is stored there is the point that they're trying to make here. It's the storehouse of all memories.

Speaker 1:

Back to the book. Your subconscious started your heartbeat, controls the circulation of your blood, regulates your digestions, assimilation and elimination of your blood. Regulates your digestions, assimilation and elimination. If we continue on, when you eat a piece of bread, your subconscious mind transmutes it into tissue, muscle, bone and blood. This process is beyond Ken of the wisest men who walks the earth. The point that's trying to be made here is this we have this incredible power. It's been alluded to many times already. That's right inside of us. It takes care of our blood circulation, it takes care of our heartbeat, it takes care of our blinking, it takes care of all the organs in our body, and we can't explain how that's done other than saying there is some power out there that's controlling all of this Magically. All this stuff works, and it even says it right here in the book. This process is beyond the wisest man who walks the earth, because it really truly can't be understood.

Speaker 1:

But here's the thing that we can take away from it. You, the listener, have this amazing power that's right inside of you. So anytime you feel like you're not good enough, or you're an imposter, or you're stupid, or you're an idiot or any of the other negatives that come up, all I want you to do is this Just remind yourself that there is a power inside of you, which is part of you, which handles all this incredibleness that occurs inside of your body, that makes you pretty incredible. So you can't have this amazingness inside of you and call yourself stupid, and call yourself an idiot and all these other negatives, because you have this incredible power, and I just want you to remind yourself of that Anytime you start going to the negative, remind yourself I have a part of God, this divine, this universal intelligence that's right inside of me. Therefore, I must be pretty intelligent, because there's some major intelligence inside of me that, therefore, I must be pretty intelligent, because there's some major intelligence inside of me that's operating all these major organs in my body and, magically, they're all working. So I must be powerful and that's what I want to let you know Again. You are unbelievably powerful.

Speaker 1:

The only reason you don't believe you're not powerful is because someone may have said something to you and you picked up this limiting belief. For example, the teacher says to you you're such a failure, you failed another test. What's wrong with you? Maybe they don't say anything? Maybe they give you a paperback and on the paper it says F and in your mind you automatically associate the fact I got an F, my friend got an A, they're smart, I'm stupid.

Speaker 1:

Now. We were a kid, we didn't question that belief, we assumed it to be true and unfortunately, because we never questioned it, it rules our internal system. So there's a belief in there that says you're stupid. Yet if we would just pull that belief out and say to ourselves when I was a kid, I got a bad grade on a test and I made an assumption that I was stupid Now, and I made an assumption that I was stupid Now. I'm asking you, the listener, what's another meaning that you could associate to the fact that you got a bad grade on that test? Well, one could be maybe I didn't study, maybe I wasn't interested in the subject, maybe I had something happen a couple days before and my did well on that course.

Speaker 1:

It doesn't make you smart that you did well in that class, but you were interested in it. So the fact that you were interested in it made you excel and made you do better. Because, let's look at it this way, if in school the only thing they taught was things that you were really interested in and things that you really loved, would you get straight A's on all the tests? The only difference between you doing really well and not doing well again, it has nothing to do with if you're smart or stupid. It has only to do with am I interested? So, if you ask the question, was I interested in this subject, for example, math? I didn't really love math and I didn't do well in math because I had no interest in it. But there were other classes that I took that I really enjoyed Philosophy Surprise, surprise. This is kind of what I do now. I was extremely interested in it and I excelled and I always did well in it, and I always look forward to the next class, so I did great in the class.

Speaker 1:

So again, the point to all of this is we have all these stored memories and these stored beliefs and these stored events and we never really pulled them out and questioned them. So they can control our behavior, they can control our emotions, they can control our outcomes, until we pull them out and until we question them. So that's what I would suggest to you. The next time you feel a limiting belief coming up about something, just ask your question why is this not true? And you'll start getting answers and you'll start realizing that this belief. Just ask your question why is this not true? And you'll start getting answers and you'll start realizing that this belief that you've been holding on to for all this time is really not true. However, it's been controlling your outcome for the longest time. All right, let's go back to the book.

Speaker 1:

Your subconscious mind controls all the vital processes and functions of your body and knows the answers to all problems. Pause for a second. Your subconscious mind controls all the vital processes we talked about that and functions of your body here's the piece I want to focus on and it knows the answers to all problems. When you have a struggle or you have a problem, how many times do you go outside and look for the answer outside and ask people that you may be friends with or that you may know? What do you think that I should do in this situation? Here's my problem. What's your advice? What's your advice, what's your thoughts help? Well, that's one way of going about it. However, what it's saying here is the answer to all your problems are right inside of you, which is the power of this subconscious mind.

Speaker 1:

The thing is, do you ever take the time to quiet your mind? Maybe you take a few deep breaths, maybe you listen to a song that'll relax you a little bit, maybe you go for a walk first, you get your mind nice and quiet, and then you take that problem that you're having and you ask a question. And you might ask a question like this what's one thing that I can do right now that will help me solve this issue that I'm facing? And you get real quiet and you just listen to the subconscious and you get a feeling and you maybe get an immediate thought that pops in Do this, call that person, take this action. And that's what you need to do is just take that action, call that person, do that thing. That's your subconscious. Your subconscious is a part of God. Your subconscious is handling all these incredible systems, as we just spoke about.

Speaker 1:

So don't you think it's possible that if we ask a question to this incredible power that's in us, that potentially we might get an answer? Here is an issue. Tell me if this makes sense to you. When our mind isn't quiet and we ask a question, our mind will start spitting out all of this stuff, it'll start thinking these thoughts and it gets really loud in there and it doesn't allow us to tune into that part of us, that subconscious part, where it's just immediate answer comes to us, our mind, and then go to this place. Because you have it. You have this power inside of you and that power has the answer to all of these questions. And you have the answer inside of you to all of these questions. You just have to be willing to ask. If you ask a question and you don't get an answer, the subconscious has a really amazing thing that it'll do, it'll search out there and it'll work its magic in the universe.

Speaker 1:

Perhaps it brings someone that knows a lot about the topic that you're trying to figure out an answer to, and suddenly you bump into them and, out of the blue, they say something to you and it's about the topic that you have this question on. And you say to them I can't believe that you're saying this to me. Have you ever had that experience? Well, you can believe it, because this power, that's a part of God, that's part of divine that's universal intelligence. It does amazing, miraculous things. It's just that when our mind is really loud, filled with lots of thoughts, we get distracted and we miss out on some of these things that come to us from the outside world. We might miss out on. Someone comes and says something to us. That person may say somewhat of an answer to your issue, but your mind is going through oh my God, I can't believe I'm wearing this, or why are they wearing that? Or the last time I was with this person, they said that to me, and so your mind is going a little bit crazy. Meanwhile, you just missed the message that he gave to you, and now universal intelligence handed to you the answer. However, you missed it because your mind was so loud with thoughts to do its thing and to work its magic and allow my ego and my thoughts that I'm having to just quiet down.

Speaker 1:

The subconscious mind is responsible for 95% of our results. Ask yourself this question how much time do you spend outside of your subconscious mind, in your conscious mind, of all the solutions that you can come up with to a problem? Again, 5% of the problems are solved in your conscious mind, except we end up spending 95% of our time there and we only maybe spend 5% of our time tapping into the subconscious mind. What we want to do is quiet that conscious mind. Keep it super quiet. Ask the question, listen for an answer. If it doesn't come right away, don't worry about it. Just pay attention.

Speaker 1:

Keep your mind quiet and over the next number of days, hours, maybe a week, something will pop in. You'll see something on television, you'll see a movie A friend will call. You'll just magically hear something that's related to what it is that you want an answer to and you'll say, oh my gosh, I can't believe this is happening. This is a miracle. It's not a miracle. It is the God piece within you. It's that divine, universal intelligence within you. And if you just take away the fact that you have this power inside of you and you give yourself credit for that power meaning the ability to tap into this power that you are you can never have a lack of confidence. Confidence can be gained by literally just saying to yourself I'm reminding myself that I have this incredible power within me and it has all these answers and I'm going to just do my best to quiet my mind and show up from that place, and you'll have a confidence that you've never had before.

Speaker 1:

It's interesting because confidence will get beaten up by all these thoughts that we're when we're trying to figure things out on our own and have our ego involved. That's when our confidence starts to go low. It says I can't do this. What's wrong with me? No, you can do it. You're using the wrong part of your mind to do it. You're using the 5% of your mind, which is again the conscious mind, which is only responsible for 5% of your results. We have to reverse it and tap into the 95%. And remember no one ever taught us this information. So it's not your fault. You're a creature of habit. We have lots of habits. The habits were formed by watching other people do things and listening to other people's words, and that created our habits. And unfortunately, the habits that we picked up aren't good habits. So we have to relearn those, and that's part of what we're doing here, which is tapping in to this immense power that is right inside of you Got it.

Speaker 1:

Let's go back to the book. Your subconscious mind never sleeps, it never rests, it's always on the job. How do we know that? Pausing for a second? We know that because our heart's always beating and all those things that we talked about earlier are happening automatically. We're breathing. Do you ever stop breathing? You just keep breathing. How are you doing it? Ask yourself the question how are you breathing? Right now, you can't figure out the answer because you don't know how you're doing it. It's happening automatically. The power inside of you is causing you to breathe, and that's a miracle, because you go to sleep at night, you're not thinking about how you're going to breathe, yet you breathe throughout the whole night, which is again a miracle. It's a true. It's that power working its magic within you. All right, let's go back to the book.

Speaker 1:

You can discover the miracle working power of your subconscious by plainly stating to your subconscious prior to sleep that you wish a certain specific thing accomplished. Okay, let's pause for a second. This is huge. It's telling us that right before we go to sleep, when our subconscious mind starts to open up. That's what happens when we go to sleep at night. As we're getting into that phase where we're really getting ready to fall asleep, subconscious opens wide up, so any message it hears goes directly into the subconscious mind. So, as you're going into that state of you feel really tired and you're really ready to go to sleep.

Speaker 1:

Here's what you do. We use the miracle working power of your subconscious mind by asking it for something right before we go to sleep. For example, you're looking for guidance on getting a new job. You could say to your subconscious mind God, divine subconscious, whatever you want to call it I'm really looking for some guidance and feedback on the way that I should move forward in a job. Would I be better off doing my own business or would I be better off trying to move up inside of this company? Or again, whatever the question is that you have. Then you just close your eyes and say to your subconscious subconscious I know you will take care of this, I will pay attention, I will be patient and I will listen for the answer, and that's all you need to do.

Speaker 1:

And then you go to sleep and you might wake up. You might have a dream in the middle of the night about what you should do. You might wake up suddenly with an idea. You might go to work and then someone says something to you out of the blue. And there it is, the answer is served up. You might be listening to a program on the radio or a podcast and someone says something and it sparks this unbelievable idea. And there it is.

Speaker 1:

The thing is, we must pay attention and we must be aware that we put the question out there Universal intelligence, the subconscious mind, which is attached to universal intelligence, or God is searching and looking for the answer attached to universal intelligence, or God is searching and looking for the answer. When you put a search into Google, if it takes a few moments for the answer to come up, you don't shut down. You just wait a moment and there it is, the answer served up. We have to be patient and trust that the answer will be served up to us. It will, but we have to be patient. There's a power inside of you you can use it or you can do it the old way which is trying to figure it all out in your conscious mind. And what I can tell you is you're going to experience what most people experience, which is frustration, which is anxiety, which is upset, which is depression. These all come about by us trying to figure things out and trying to control everything. Instead, let's turn it over to this incredible power that works magic in us already.

Speaker 1:

Why wouldn't we do that? Think about it If you were walking around with a person next to you who is just the smartest person ever. They knew the answer to every question. Would you not ask them certain questions to get answers, since they're so smart and they know the answers to all questions? Of course you would use it because that person's right there with you, the person's really great at making money and you're with them. You might ask them what do you do to earn money? How do you get yourself motivated? And you ask them questions and they'll serve up answers to you.

Speaker 1:

We have that person in our subconscious meaning. We have this power inside of us that we can turn to always. Yet what most of us do is we never turn to it. We forget the power. We don't even realize this power is in us. We ignore it and we try to figure it out because that's what we were taught how to do, and so what we're learning to do now is the opposite. We are going to learn from this point forward. How can I quiet my mind and how can I ask this incredible power inside to serve up and give me the answers? Does that make sense? You have the power, you are the power. Just tap into the power and allow it to give you all that you need to come back to the book, you will be delighted to discover that the forces within you will be released, leading to that desired result. Here, then, is the source of power and wisdom, which places you in touch with omnipotence, with God, with divine, or the power that moves the world, guides the planets in their course and causes the sun to shine. The subconscious mind is the source of your ideals, aspirations and altruistic urges. It was through the subconscious mind that Shakespeare perceived great truths hidden from the average man of his day.

Speaker 1:

Undoubtedly, it was the response of the subconscious mind that caused the Greek sculptor Phidias to portray beauty, order, symmetry and proportion in marble and bronze. It enabled the Italian artist Raphael to paint Madonnas and Ludwig van Beethoven to compose symphonies. See, let's pause for a second. There's case after case of where people do tap into this magical power and then, by tapping into it, to have this music present, to have this sculpture present itself. They tapped in and let that do the work, and then they took action based on the ideas or thoughts that came up from tapping into that place. Is this making sense to everyone? I know it is, and if it isn't, just replay it and listen again and replay it and listen again and suddenly it will click in that you have this incredible power and how to use it.

Speaker 1:

Let me ask you a question. Let's imagine for a second that you needed to get an operation. Let's say it's a hernia operation. You need to go in and get the surgery done and I say to you there is a surgeon that I know he's great and the way that he does it is. He doesn't give you anesthesia, he talks to your subconscious mind and from doing that you won't feel any pain. You'll be wide awake. He's going to make the incisions and you'll feel really great. What would you think if I said that to you? You'd probably say Mike, you're out of your mind, they're putting me to sleep. I would never let someone do surgery on me while I was awake.

Speaker 1:

Think about this. This is back in the 1840s. There were surgeries performed in the way that I'm describing to you in India and there was no anesthesia that was used. So let's go back to the book, listen to this and see the power of the subconscious mind at work. James Esdale, a Scott surgeon who worked in Bengal before ether again, ether was what they would use to give you anesthesia or other modern methods of anesthesia were discovered. Between 1843 and 1846, dr Esdell performed about 400 major operations of all kinds, such as amputations, removal of tumors and cancerous growths, as well as operations on the eyes, ears and throat. Here it is all operations were conducted under mental anesthesia.

Speaker 1:

Only this indian doctor informed me that the post-operative mortality rate of his patients operated on by Dr Esdale was extremely low, probably two or three percent Patients felt no pain and there were no deaths during the operations. Dr Esdale suggested to the subconscious minds of all his patients, who were in a hypnotic state, that no infection or septic condition would develop. Now remember this was before Louis Pasteur, joseph Lister and others who pointed out that bacterial origin of disease and cause of infection to unsterilized instrument and organisms. The Indian surgeon said that the reason for the low mortality rate and the general absence of infection, which was reduced to a minimum, was undoubtedly due to the suggestions of Dr Esdale to the subconscious minds of his patients. They responded according to the nature of suggestion.

Speaker 1:

Pause for a second. This is in the 1840s. He's doing surgery. He's making suggestions to the patient's subconscious mind. He's telling them I've performed this on 300, 400 patients.

Speaker 1:

They have a belief, since these other people went through it and they weren't in pain. He must be able to do it. Their subconscious mind believes it. And they weren't in pain. He must be able to do it. Their subconscious mind believes it, and they don't feel pain and they don't get infection. That's truly a miracle. But is it? Maybe not? Maybe? It's just we have this limiting belief that we need to be able to do things in a certain way until we're proven that we don't have to do it in a certain way.

Speaker 1:

And here's proof. Here's proof that we have an incredible power in our subconscious mind and that when we give it instructions and we believe in those instructions, and we say I believe that this higher power God, universe, divine intelligence is going to give me an answer to this question, and you turn it over to that power and you trust that that power is going to provide an answer. And even if you don't get it in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth day, you keep saying I know an answer is coming, I know it's coming, I'm trusting the process. Guess what's going to happen? You're going to get the answer and you're going to see the power of your subconscious mind and when that happens for you. You're going to start to get a confidence that you never realized you could have, and that confidence is in this power that's inside of you. And then you'll do it a second time and a third time, and that confidence will grow more and more and then suddenly you're going to be a powerhouse of confidence. Why? Because you realize you don't need anything outside of you to get the answer.

Speaker 1:

All answers are right inside, all answers exist within the subconscious. All we have to do is use this power and use it in a way that we ask it a question, listen for the answer, quiet our mind and trust that we will be given an answer. Over time, we see the power that the subconscious mind has 400 surgeries in the 1800s performed before they could even sterilize things in a certain way, and almost all the patients didn't have any infections, made it through the surgery, had no pain. That is truly miraculous, but that is truly the power that you, listening to this right now, are walking around with inside. So we're going to end the show on this point, and the point is just keep recalling to yourself how powerful you truly are, how much power exists.

Speaker 1:

Start doing this. Power exists. Start doing this. Start using the subconscious mind so that you can ask it for things that you want. Do one at a time and just pay attention and listen for an immediate answer or allow it to come over time. That's all I want you to do. You're amazing. You're powerful. You have all this incredibleness right inside of you. Your confidence should continue to grow every time you hear and do what I'm suggesting in these podcasts Because, again, everything exists right inside of you. There's nothing you need to do except quiet your mind and tap in. Have an amazing week. I love you all. I wish you the best. Share this podcast with other people. There are other people that are waiting for you to share with them so that they can start to have some growth inside and allow them to see this power that's hidden inside of them. Have an amazing week. Take care.
